How to get to the island?

  1.  Private Boat Transfer

  2.  We offer our own transport service directly from the mainland (Lautoka Wharf). The cost is 200 FJD each way for one guest, or 150 FJD each way if two people travel together. If you’re already staying on another island, we can also arrange to pick you up from there.

  1. Yasawa Flyer Ferry

  2.  You can take the Yasawa Flyer and hop off at the Barefoot Kuata stop. Let the ferry staff know you’re staying at Ruci & Mali’s Homestay. We’ll meet you there with our small boat and bring you straight to the village. If for some reason we’re not there right away, don’t worry - just catch the boat to Wayalailai Eco Haven, which is only a short 2-minute walk along the beach from us.

  3. CLICK HERE to book the ferry.

Meals

For 50 FJD per person per day, you’ll enjoy three delicious, home-cooked Fijian meals made with love. Meals usually feature freshly caught fish, chicken, or meat, often cooked in rich coconut milk, and served with local staples like cassava, vegetables, noodles, and homemade bread.

Every meal is rounded out with fresh seasonal fruits, mountain spring water, coffee, and tea.

If you have special dietary needs, just let us know before you arrive so we can prepare as best as possible. Since we only shop on the mainland once a week, advance notice helps us make sure you’ll be well taken care of.

Eating with us isn’t just about food — it’s about sharing meals together, Fijian-style.
